Community Representative
Originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, Lisa moved to Chicago in 2001 to live in the inaugural Carter Haywood House in the Albany Park Neighborhood as an LVCer. She learned about LVC at the end of her time in college as she and some fellow campus ministry members at the University of South Carolina were looking into AmeriCorps service years. LVC was compelling enough for Lisa and another friend to sign up!
Lisa's favorite core practice is social justice. She serves on the finance committee for LVC, putting into practice her work on a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Xavier University that she will soon earn along with a Master of Divinty from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. This will position her well for a career in nonprofit project management.
