Laurie Beckman Yetzer is a rostered diaconal minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She previously served as LVC’s interim executive director, 2004-2005, and Twin Cities coordinator, 2001-2004. Most recently, Laurie has served as the Interfaith Children’s Advocacy Network Organizer of the Minnesota Joint Religious Legislative Coalition and as diaconal minister for Richfield Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She is a leader in the Minneapolis Area Synod, serving on the synod candidacy committee and as co-convener of the synod anti-racism iniative. She is also an active board member with ISAIAH, involved in faith-based community organizing, and has led a team exploring the work of organizing in the context of global mission. Laurie received her masters degree from Luther Seminary and her bachelors from Augsburg College. In her free time, she likes hiking, camping, gardening, crossword puzzles and a good book!
