Kate is a graduate of Chicago State University with a degree in Sociology. She has
worked on various projects focusing on food justice, media literacy, sexual violence
prevention, and community empowerment. Before becoming part of the LVC staff
she lived in intentional community at St. Joseph’s Catholic Worker in Rochester, NY.
During her time in Rochester, Kate was the coordinator of the Bread For All community
supported organic bakery, which served as a job-training program for those in recovery
from addiction. Kate enjoys spending time with her people and her dog, Puja Marie.
