Journey to an Inclusive Community

This page has resources that help us analyze and dismantle institutional forms of oppression like racism, sexism and heterosexism.  These are tools for reforming and building accountable, just and healthy relationships, communities and institutions.

First, you may want to read the history and preamble of the JIC Guide.  It is available in its entirety, including sections for all of the major constituencies of the LVC community.

Listed below are some tools that the Lutheran Volunteer Corps staff has used to guide them in their own personal and communal Journey to an Inclusive Community.  Within the list you will find books, magazines, videos, documentaries and websites that might give you some ideas for doing anti-oppression work in your own life.
