At Bread for the City, our mission is to provide vulnerable residents of Washington, D.C. with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Responsibilities include intakes and referrals, while learning the basic eligibility criteria for a number of programs, including food stamps, disability income, and Medicaid. Case management involves help with money management and budgeting, help setting goals to get job training and look for work, help locating affordable housing and furniture, encouraging and supporting clients' efforts to pursue substance abuse treatment, etc. Successful candidates should have some Spanish language capability and a BSW or commensurate education. www.breadforthecity.org
