The Nebraska Synod is one of 65 synods in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The Synod is made up of more than 250 congregations and mission centers across Nebraska. The Nebraska Synod provides “oversight of the life and mission of this church in Nebraska”. Duties and responsibilities for this position include: tracking and monitoring of specified state legislation, conducting research on proposed legislation, assisting with communication regarding specified state legislation (including the use of social media), assisting with outreach and educational efforts, assisting with event planning, helping coordinate activities of the Nebraska Synod Justice Committee, and other professional duties as assigned.
